If you use the Joe’s Scanner app with a custom or third-party TR connection, telemetry controls may be available in the app settings.

For custom TR clients, telemetry can be turned off in settings where that option is available.

Disabling telemetry may reduce the ability of Joe’s Scanner to troubleshoot issues, diagnose failures, or provide certain forms of support related to custom connections.

5. Hosted Services and Third-Party Services

If you connect to Joe’s Scanner hosted services, certain service-side logs, diagnostics, and telemetry may be created as part of operating, maintaining, and securing the service.

If you connect the Joe’s Scanner app to a custom or third-party server, that server may collect or process information under its own practices and policies. Joe’s Scanner is not responsible for the privacy, security, or data handling practices of third-party servers, custom TR operators, or external services not operated by Joe’s Scanner.

Users are responsible for reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party services they choose to use with the app.

6. Payments, Billing, and Subscriptions

Joe’s Scanner does not directly store full credit card numbers.

Purchases, subscription billing, checkout, and payment-related processing are handled through SureCart and its connected payment providers, including Stripe.

Joe’s Scanner may have limited access to certain transaction-related information needed to manage subscriptions and customer access, including:

  • customer email address
  • subscription or purchase status
  • limited payment method reference information, such as the last four digits
  • billing or address information displayed through SureCart for subscription and order management purposes

Joe’s Scanner does not directly store billing address information on the Joe’s Scanner website.

If SureCart or its connected payment providers are no longer used, Joe’s Scanner would no longer have access to the transaction information maintained through those systems.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Joe’s Scanner website may use cookies and similar technologies for account access, session management, preferences, security, analytics, and normal website operation.
